Our Co-Workers

The Cultivate Co-Working Space is a unique city centre office facility for like-minded people to work and create alongside one another at 63 Lower Mount St., Dublin 2. Our co-working members:

Feasta

feasta.pngFeasta aims to identify the characteristics (economic, cultural and environmental) of a truly sustainable society, articulate how the necessary transition can be effected and promote the implementation of the measures required for this purpose.

One of the many benefits of Feasta membership is the opportunity of joining a Working Group which form a key part of our self-development. Working Groups cover range of issues – such as Land & Housing, Food, Money, and Health – with plenty of scope for new involvement.

Passive House Association of Ireland

IPHA.pngThe Passive House Association of Ireland (PHAI) aims to be a catalyst for the increased awareness of the opportunities and benefits of low energy design. Passive House Design is seen as a specifically proven successful way of designing such buildings.

PHAI aims to promote, educate, facilitate and develop a strong identity, understanding and demand for the passive house concept

The Association is non-profit-making and all membership fees collected go toward the promotion of the Passive House Principles in their many varied forms.

Caryna's Cakes

caryna-with-cakes.jpgCaryna Camerino is the baker behind Caryna's Cakes, a small artisan bakery that feeds Dublin's sweet tooth by way of supplying delicious and high quality treats to coffee shops, restaurants and famers' markets. Caryna's Cakes bakes best quality home-baked treats made with real Irish butter, pure vanilla extract, Irish free range eggs, fairtrade chocolate and lovin' from the oven. There is absolutely no addition of preservatives, enzymes, stabilisers or other gross stuff that is often used in commercial bakeries. I emphasize the use of local products wherever possible, ethically produced flour and chocolate, and cater for tastes that range from decadent treats to sugar-free and gluten-free options. Like Caryna's Cakes on Facebook and follow on Twitter to find out where we'll pop up next. Check out www.carynascakes.com to see pictures of some of the fancy custom designed cakes I make for weddings, birthdays and other happy occasions.

The Irish Green Building Council

igbc.pngThe Irish Green Building Council aims to provide a framework and leadership to accelerate the transformation of the built environment, industry and supply chain to one that is sustainable based on accepted scientific principles of sustainability.

The Irish Green Building Council proposes to set a vision of a fully sustainable built environment based on principles for sustainable development. This end goal should be the elimination of all violations of clear scientific principles that define sustainability within the built environment and its entire supply chain. The organisation will back cast from this goal to outline a series of strategies and actions which can be used to achieve this.

Éasca

ÉascaIÉasca was formed to promote sustainable building in Ireland and to facilitate positive change in order to mainstream sustainable building practices. It brings together the most innovative private companies in the built environment. Member companies are assessed by independent assessors to ensure their products and services have a positive impact on the environment.

Easca members are generating a strong and common voice for sustainable building in Ireland. By linking together and accepting common criteria for standards and peer-review, members are moving forward the agenda for sustainable construction.
